What mattress is better than Saatva?
Founded in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer high-end mattresses under 3 brand names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils give the Saatva Classic an excellent quantity of bounce near the top, and a luxurious top includes softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is delivered by movers, rather than in a box.

Note: Saatva just recently updated the Zenhaven, changing the type of latex used in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now features Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; read more about the distinctions below. We plan to check the brand-new variation quickly and will upgrade this guide with our impressions.
The all-foam Zenhaven consists mainly of latex, which is inherently resilient. The Zenhaven is also flippable (the Luxury Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Company side feels a bit firmer), which may show useful if you’re not sure what you choose or if your requirements alter over time. This is not a traditionally soft mattress, however it uses a supple cushion, good edge assistance, and a subtle springiness. We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environmentally friendly” brands. However we do understand that the company uses thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to chemicals or fiberglass) and only organic cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress business, Saatva promotes such bonus as zoned layers for “optimal spine assistance”; we’re less impressed with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer care and long lasting foams and coils.
