What mattress is better than Saatva?
Founded in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer luxury bed mattress under 3 brand names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. In between these 3 brands, the company offers several mattress models, including the all-foam Loom & Leaf;& Leaf; the latex Zenhaven; the airbed, Solaire; and the hybrid Saatva. Perfect for: Individuals with more specific firmness choices Sleepers of any size and sleep position Those who tend to sleep hot Couples trying to find a mix of pressure relief and bounce The majority of online bed mattress are hybrids or foams, so the Saatva Classic sticks out. It’s one of the few innerspring bed mattress you can conveniently purchase online. Pocketed coils give the Saatva Classic an excellent quantity of bounce near the top, and a plush top adds softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s mattresses, the Saatva Classic is provided by movers, rather than in a box. Saatva also offers a generous 180-day trial duration and easy returns.

While all of the Saatva firmness options have pressure-relieving potential, the amount of pressure relief that an individual experiences on the bed mattress will differ based partially on their weight and sleep position. People who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most pressure relief on the Plush Soft version of the mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the best balance of contouring and assistance from the Company version.
Keep in mind: Saatva just recently updated the Zenhaven, altering the kind of latex utilized in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now includes Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; read more about the differences listed below. We plan to evaluate the new variation quickly and will update this guide with our impressions.
The all-foam Zenhaven consists mostly of latex, which is inherently long lasting. The Zenhaven is likewise flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Company side feels a bit firmer), which may show helpful if you’re not exactly sure what you prefer or if your requirements change in time. This is not a traditionally soft mattress, but it offers a supple cushion, good edge support, and a subtle springiness. Provided its natural toughness, the Zenhaven must work well for individuals who weigh more than 200 pounds.
For this evaluation, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven mattresses for several weeks in my own home. These bed mattress were also examined in our group tests performed for Wirecutter’s guides to the finest foam bed mattress and the best innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel author for sleep, I’ve talked to ratings of experts in the bed mattress market and in materials science; gone to lots of mattress showrooms, factories, and stores; and read the fine print on specifications, service warranties, and return policies. Most recently, supervising editor Courtney Schley examined the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her house for several weeks.
Understanding Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– many with a choice of firmness levels and catering to nearly every convenience choice– includes: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Serta Hanwell Mattress Reviews
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid designed for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environment-friendly” brand names. We do know that the company utilizes thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to fiberglass or chemicals) and just natural cotton (rather of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress business, Saatva touts such extras as zoned layers for “optimum spine assistance”; we’re less satisfied with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer care and durable foams and coils.
