What mattress is better than Saatva?
Established in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer luxury bed mattress under three brand name names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils provide the Saatva Classic a good quantity of bounce near the top, and a plush top adds softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is delivered by movers, rather than in a box.

Keep in mind: Saatva recently updated the Zenhaven, changing the type of latex used in its foam layers. We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environmentally friendly” brands. However we do understand that the company uses thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to chemicals or fiberglass) and only natural cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress companies, Saatva promotes such additionals as zoned layers for “optimum spine assistance”; we’re less amazed with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive client service and durable foams and coils.
