As with all of the Saatva Company’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is provided by movers, rather than in a box. Saatva also uses a generous 180-day trial duration and easy returns.

Note: Saatva recently upgraded the Zenhaven, altering the kind of latex utilized in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now features Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; learn more about the distinctions below. We plan to check the brand-new variation soon and will upgrade this guide with our impressions.
The all-foam Zenhaven consists mostly of latex, which is inherently durable. The Zenhaven is likewise flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Firm side feels a bit firmer), which may show helpful if you’re not exactly sure what you prefer or if your needs alter with time. This is not a conventionally cushy bed mattress, but it provides a supple cushion, great edge assistance, and a subtle springiness. Provided its natural durability, the Zenhaven needs to work well for individuals who weigh more than 200 pounds.
For this evaluation, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven mattresses for several weeks in my own home. We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environmentally friendly” brands. But we do understand that the company uses thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (instead of fiberglass or chemicals) and just natural cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress business, Saatva touts such extras as zoned layers for “optimal spine support”; we’re less impressed with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer care and long lasting foams and coils.
