What mattress is better than Saatva?
Established in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer luxury bed mattress under 3 brand names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils provide the Saatva Classic an excellent amount of bounce near the top, and a plush top includes softness. As with all of the Saatva Business’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is delivered by movers, rather than in a box.

The Saatva’s convenience system uses thinner layers of foam than numerous hybrid designs. These thinner layers of foam integrated with the Euro-top’s fiber fill take in some motion, reducing how much motion is felt throughout the surface of the bed. Sleepers may still experience some motion transfer when their partner changes position or gets up during the night due to the mattress’s two layers of springs. Thanks to its softer feel, the Plush Soft variation of the Saatva soaks up a little more movement than the High-end Firm and Firm options.
While all of the Saatva firmness alternatives have pressure-relieving capacity, the quantity of pressure relief that a private experiences on the bed mattress will differ based partly on their weight and sleep position. People who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most press relief on the Plush Soft variation of the bed mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the very best balance of contouring and support from the Company variation.
Note: Saatva recently updated the Zenhaven, changing the type of latex utilized in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now features Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; find out more about the distinctions below. We prepare to test the brand-new variation quickly and will update this guide with our impressions.
The Zenhaven is also flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Firm side feels a bit firmer), which may prove useful if you’re not sure what you prefer or if your requirements alter over time. This is not a traditionally cushy mattress, but it provides a supple cushion, excellent edge assistance, and a subtle springiness.
These mattresses were likewise evaluated in our group tests conducted for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam mattresses and the finest innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel author for sleep, I’ve talked to ratings of experts in the bed mattress market and in products science; gone to dozens of mattress shops, factories, and display rooms; and pored over the fine print on specs, warranties, and return policies.
Making sense of Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– many with a choice of firmness levels and accommodating nearly every convenience choice– consists of: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Saatva Retailer Location
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid designed for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environment-friendly” brand names. We do know that the business uses thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to chemicals or fiberglass) and only organic cotton (rather of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress business, Saatva touts such additionals as zoned layers for “optimum spine assistance”; we’re less pleased with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer care and long lasting foams and coils.
