Factors to consider: Saatva Model Numbers
The Saatva’s convenience system uses thinner layers of foam than lots of hybrid designs. These thinner layers of foam integrated with the Euro-top’s fiber fill soak up some movement, reducing how much motion is felt across the surface of the bed. Sleepers might still experience some movement transfer when their partner modifications position or gets up throughout the night due to the bed mattress’s 2 layers of springs. Thanks to its softer feel, the Plush Soft version of the Saatva absorbs slightly more movement than the Luxury Firm and Firm alternatives.
While all of the Saatva firmness options have pressure-relieving capacity, the amount of pressure relief that a specific experiences on the bed mattress will vary based partly on their weight and sleep position. People who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most press relief on the Plush Soft variation of the bed mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the best balance of contouring and assistance from the Company version.
Keep in mind: Saatva recently updated the Zenhaven, changing the type of latex utilized in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now features Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; find out more about the differences below. We prepare to test the new variation quickly and will update this guide with our impressions.
The all-foam Zenhaven consists mainly of latex, which is inherently durable. The Zenhaven is also flippable (the Luxury Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Firm side feels a bit firmer), which may show useful if you’re unsure what you choose or if your requirements change gradually. This is not a conventionally soft mattress, however it uses a supple cushion, great edge support, and a subtle springiness. Given its inherent resilience, the Zenhaven must work well for people who weigh more than 200 pounds.
For this evaluation, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven bed mattress for numerous weeks in my own home. We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “eco-friendly” brand names. We do understand that the company uses thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to fiberglass or chemicals) and just natural cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress companies, Saatva promotes such bonus as zoned layers for “optimal spine assistance”; we’re less impressed with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer support and long lasting foams and coils.
