What mattress is better than Saatva?
Founded in 2010, Saatva concentrates on direct-to-consumer luxury bed mattress under 3 brand: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. In between these 3 brand names, the company sells numerous bed mattress models, including the all-foam Loom & Leaf;& Leaf; the latex Zenhaven; the airbed, Solaire; and the hybrid Saatva. Ideal for: People with more particular firmness preferences Sleepers of any size and sleep position Those who tend to sleep hot Couples searching for a mix of pressure relief and bounce A lot of online mattresses are hybrids or foams, so the Saatva Classic sticks out. It is among the few innerspring bed mattress you can conveniently buy online. Pocketed coils give the Saatva Classic a great quantity of bounce near the top, and a plush top includes softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is provided by movers, rather than in a box. Saatva also provides a generous 180-day trial duration and easy returns.

The Saatva’s convenience system uses thinner layers of foam than many hybrid designs. These thinner layers of foam integrated with the Euro-top’s fiber fill absorb some motion, minimizing how much movement is felt throughout the surface of the bed. Sleepers may still experience some motion transfer when their partner modifications position or gets up during the night due to the bed mattress’s two layers of springs. Thanks to its softer feel, the Plush Soft variation of the Saatva takes in somewhat more movement than the Luxury Firm and Company options. While all of the Saatva firmness alternatives have pressure-relieving potential, the amount of pressure relief that a private experiences on the bed mattress will differ based partly on their weight and sleep position. Individuals who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most pressure relief on the Luxurious Soft variation of the bed mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the best balance of contouring and support from the Company variation.
Note: Saatva recently upgraded the Zenhaven, altering the kind of latex utilized in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now includes Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; read more about the distinctions listed below. We prepare to evaluate the brand-new variation soon and will update this guide with our impressions.
The Zenhaven is also flippable (the Luxury Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Company side feels a bit firmer), which might prove useful if you’re not sure what you choose or if your requirements change over time. This is not a traditionally cushy mattress, but it offers a flexible cushion, great edge assistance, and a subtle springiness.
For this evaluation, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven mattresses for several weeks in my own house. These mattresses were also examined in our group tests conducted for Wirecutter’s guides to the finest foam bed mattress and the finest innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel writer for sleep, I’ve talked to scores of experts in the bed mattress industry and in products science; visited lots of mattress factories, stores, and showrooms; and pored over the small print on requirements, warranties, and return policies. Most recently, monitoring editor Courtney Schley assessed the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her house for several weeks.
Making sense of Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– many with a choice of firmness levels and catering to almost every comfort preference– includes: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).

We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environmentally friendly” brand names. However we do understand that the business utilizes thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (instead of chemicals or fiberglass) and only natural cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress companies, Saatva promotes such bonus as zoned layers for “optimal spinal column assistance”; we’re less pleased with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer support and long lasting foams and coils.
