What mattress is better than Saatva?
Founded in 2010, Saatva focuses on direct-to-consumer high-end mattresses under 3 brand: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Between these 3 brands, the business offers several bed mattress models, including the all-foam Loom & Leaf;& Leaf; the latex Zenhaven; the airbed, Solaire; and the hybrid Saatva. Ideal for: People with more particular firmness preferences Sleepers of any size and sleep position Those who tend to sleep hot Couples trying to find a combination of pressure relief and bounce Many online mattresses are hybrids or foams, so the Saatva Classic stands apart. It’s one of the few innerspring mattresses you can conveniently buy online. Pocketed coils provide the Saatva Classic an excellent amount of bounce near the top, and a plush top adds softness. Likewise, just like all of the Saatva Company’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is delivered by movers, rather than in a box. Saatva also offers a generous 180-day trial duration and easy returns.
Factors to consider: Saatva Lineal Vs Leggett And Platt Adjustable Bed
The Saatva’s comfort system uses thinner layers of foam than lots of hybrid models. These thinner layers of foam combined with the Euro-top’s fiber fill absorb some movement, decreasing how much motion is felt across the surface of the bed. Sleepers might still experience some motion transfer when their partner modifications position or gets up throughout the night due to the mattress’s 2 layers of springs. Thanks to its softer feel, the Plush Soft version of the Saatva takes in a little more motion than the High-end Company and Firm options.
While all of the Saatva firmness alternatives have pressure-relieving capacity, the quantity of pressure relief that a private experiences on the mattress will differ based partially on their weight and sleep position. People who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most pressure relief on the Luxurious Soft version of the bed mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the best balance of contouring and assistance from the Company version.
Keep in mind: Saatva just recently updated the Zenhaven, altering the type of latex used in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now includes Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; learn more about the differences listed below. We prepare to check the new version quickly and will upgrade this guide with our impressions.
The Zenhaven is also flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Company side feels a bit firmer), which might show valuable if you’re not sure what you prefer or if your needs change over time. This is not a traditionally cushy mattress, but it provides a flexible cushion, excellent edge support, and a subtle springiness.
For this evaluation, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven mattresses for a number of weeks in my own home. These bed mattress were likewise evaluated in our group tests performed for Wirecutter’s guides to the finest foam mattresses and the finest innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior staff author for sleep, I’ve talked to ratings of experts in the mattress industry and in materials science; checked out dozens of mattress showrooms, shops, and factories; and read the small print on requirements, service warranties, and return policies. Most recently, supervising editor Courtney Schley evaluated the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her home for several weeks.

We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environment-friendly” brand names. We do understand that the business uses thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to fiberglass or chemicals) and only organic cotton (rather of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress companies, Saatva touts such additionals as zoned layers for “optimum spinal column support”; we’re less amazed with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer support and long lasting foams and coils.
