What mattress is better than Saatva?
Established in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer high-end bed mattress under 3 brand name names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils give the Saatva Classic a good amount of bounce near the top, and a plush top adds softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is provided by movers, rather than in a box.
Factors to consider: How Does The Saatva Mattress Hold Up Over Time
Individuals who are easily woken up when their partner stirs might discover the Saatva transfers more motion than perfect Individuals who like the hug of memory foam may not feel the Saatva conforms carefully adequate The Saatva’s convenience system utilizes thinner layers of foam than lots of hybrid designs. Rather, it uses an extra layer of springs within the
Keep in mind: Saatva recently updated the Zenhaven, changing the type of latex utilized in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now features Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; learn more about the distinctions below. We plan to check the brand-new variation quickly and will upgrade this guide with our impressions.
The all-foam Zenhaven consists mostly of latex, which is fundamentally resilient. The Zenhaven is also flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Company side feels a bit firmer), which may prove valuable if you’re unsure what you choose or if your needs alter with time. This is not a conventionally soft mattress, but it offers a flexible cushion, excellent edge assistance, and a subtle springiness. Given its inherent durability, the Zenhaven needs to work well for individuals who weigh more than 200 pounds.
For this evaluation, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven mattresses for several weeks in my own house. These mattresses were likewise evaluated in our group tests carried out for Wirecutter’s guides to the finest foam bed mattress and the best innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel author for sleep, I’ve spoken with scores of experts in the bed mattress industry and in products science; gone to dozens of mattress factories, shops, and display rooms; and pored over the small print on requirements, warranties, and return policies. Most just recently, supervising editor Courtney Schley assessed the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her home for a number of weeks.

We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environment-friendly” brand names. We do know that the business utilizes thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to chemicals or fiberglass) and only natural cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress companies, Saatva touts such extras as zoned layers for “optimal spinal column support”; we’re less impressed with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer care and durable foams and coils.
