What mattress is better than Saatva?
Established in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer luxury bed mattress under 3 brand name names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils give the Saatva Classic an excellent quantity of bounce near the top, and a luxurious top adds softness. As with all of the Saatva Business’s mattresses, the Saatva Classic is delivered by movers, rather than in a box.

Keep in mind: Saatva just recently updated the Zenhaven, altering the kind of latex utilized in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now features Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; learn more about the distinctions listed below. We prepare to evaluate the new version quickly and will update this guide with our impressions.
The Zenhaven is also flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Firm side feels a bit firmer), which may prove handy if you’re not sure what you prefer or if your requirements alter over time. This is not a traditionally cushy mattress, but it provides a supple cushion, excellent edge support, and a subtle springiness.

These bed mattress were also examined in our group tests performed for Wirecutter’s guides to the finest foam mattresses and the finest innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel writer for sleep, I’ve spoken with scores of professionals in the mattress market and in materials science; visited dozens of bed mattress display rooms, factories, and stores; and pored over the small print on specifications, guarantees, and return policies. Most just recently, supervising editor Courtney Schley examined the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her home for several weeks.

We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environment-friendly” brand names. But we do understand that the company uses thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (instead of chemicals or fiberglass) and just natural cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress companies, Saatva touts such additionals as zoned layers for “optimal spinal column assistance”; we’re less satisfied with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer care and long lasting foams and coils.
