What mattress is better than Saatva?
Founded in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer high-end mattresses under three brand names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils provide the Saatva Classic a great quantity of bounce near the top, and a plush top includes softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is provided by movers, rather than in a box.

Keep in mind: Saatva just recently upgraded the Zenhaven, altering the type of latex used in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now includes Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; read more about the distinctions below. We plan to test the new variation quickly and will update this guide with our impressions.
The all-foam Zenhaven consists mostly of latex, which is fundamentally long lasting. The Zenhaven is likewise flippable (the Luxury Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Firm side feels a bit firmer), which might prove valuable if you’re not sure what you choose or if your requirements change with time. This is not a traditionally soft bed mattress, however it uses a supple cushion, good edge support, and a subtle springiness. Given its innate resilience, the Zenhaven must work well for people who weigh more than 200 pounds.

We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environmentally friendly” brand names. We do understand that the business uses thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to fiberglass or chemicals) and only organic cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress companies, Saatva promotes such extras as zoned layers for “optimal spine assistance”; we’re less satisfied with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive client service and durable foams and coils.
