What mattress is better than Saatva?
Established in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer high-end bed mattress under three brand names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils offer the Saatva Classic an excellent amount of bounce near the top, and a plush top includes softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is delivered by movers, rather than in a box.

Individuals who are easily awoken when their partner stirs might find the Saatva transfers more movement than perfect Individuals who like the hug of memory foam might not feel the Saatva conforms closely adequate The Saatva’s convenience system utilizes thinner layers of foam than many hybrid models. The all-foam Zenhaven consists primarily of latex, which is intrinsically long lasting. The Zenhaven is likewise flippable (the Luxury Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Company side feels a bit firmer), which might show useful if you’re uncertain what you prefer or if your requirements alter with time. This is not a traditionally soft mattress, but it uses a supple cushion, good edge assistance, and a subtle springiness. Provided its innate resilience, the Zenhaven must work well for people who weigh more than 200 pounds.
For this evaluation, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven bed mattress for several weeks in my own house. These bed mattress were also examined in our group tests performed for Wirecutter’s guides to the finest foam bed mattress and the finest innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel author for sleep, I have actually talked to scores of professionals in the mattress industry and in materials science; checked out dozens of mattress display rooms, factories, and shops; and read the fine print on specs, guarantees, and return policies. Most just recently, supervising editor Courtney Schley evaluated the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her house for a number of weeks.

We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “eco-friendly” brands. We do know that the company uses thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to chemicals or fiberglass) and only organic cotton (rather of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress business, Saatva promotes such extras as zoned layers for “optimum spine assistance”; we’re less satisfied with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer support and durable foams and coils.
