What mattress is better than Saatva?
Established in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer luxury mattresses under 3 brand name names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils provide the Saatva Classic a great quantity of bounce near the top, and a plush top adds softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is delivered by movers, rather than in a box.

While all of the Saatva firmness alternatives have pressure-relieving potential, the amount of pressure relief that a specific experiences on the mattress will vary based partly on their weight and sleep position. Individuals who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most push relief on the Luxurious Soft variation of the bed mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the best balance of contouring and support from the Firm variation.
Note: Saatva just recently updated the Zenhaven, changing the type of latex utilized in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now features Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; read more about the differences below. We plan to test the new version quickly and will upgrade this guide with our impressions.
The Zenhaven is also flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Company side feels a bit firmer), which might prove practical if you’re not sure what you choose or if your needs alter over time. This is not a traditionally cushy mattress, but it provides a supple cushion, excellent edge support, and a subtle springiness.

Most recently, monitoring editor Courtney Schley examined the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her house for numerous weeks.

We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “eco-friendly” brand names. However we do know that the company uses thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (rather than chemicals or fiberglass) and only natural cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress business, Saatva touts such extras as zoned layers for “ideal spine assistance”; we’re less impressed with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer support and long lasting foams and coils.
