What mattress is better than Saatva?
Founded in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer luxury bed mattress under 3 brand name names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils give the Saatva Classic an excellent quantity of bounce near the top, and a plush top adds softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s mattresses, the Saatva Classic is delivered by movers, rather than in a box.

The Saatva’s convenience system utilizes thinner layers of foam than many hybrid models. These thinner layers of foam integrated with the Euro-top’s fiber fill absorb some motion, reducing how much motion is felt throughout the surface area of the bed. Sleepers may still experience some motion transfer when their partner changes position or gets up throughout the night due to the mattress’s 2 layers of springs. Thanks to its softer feel, the Plush Soft variation of the Saatva soaks up a little more motion than the High-end Firm and Firm options.
While all of the Saatva firmness alternatives have pressure-relieving capacity, the quantity of pressure relief that a private experiences on the mattress will differ based partially on their weight and sleep position. Individuals who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most press relief on the Plush Soft version of the bed mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the very best balance of contouring and support from the Firm variation.
Note: Saatva just recently updated the Zenhaven, changing the kind of latex utilized in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now includes Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; learn more about the differences listed below. We plan to check the new version soon and will update this guide with our impressions.
The Zenhaven is also flippable (the Luxury Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Company side feels a bit firmer), which might prove handy if you’re not sure what you choose or if your needs change over time. This is not a traditionally soft bed mattress, but it provides a flexible cushion, great edge support, and a subtle springiness.
These bed mattress were also examined in our group tests performed for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam bed mattress and the best innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel author for sleep, I’ve talked to scores of professionals in the mattress industry and in materials science; checked out dozens of mattress stores, factories, and showrooms; and pored over the great print on specifications, warranties, and return policies.
Making sense of Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– lots of with an option of firmness levels and dealing with nearly every comfort preference– consists of: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Brunette In Layla Mattess Ad
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid designed for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “eco-friendly” brand names. We do understand that the business uses thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to fiberglass or chemicals) and only natural cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress companies, Saatva touts such additionals as zoned layers for “ideal spine assistance”; we’re less amazed with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer service and resilient foams and coils.
