What mattress is better than Saatva?
Founded in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer luxury mattresses under 3 brand names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils give the Saatva Classic an excellent quantity of bounce near the top, and a luxurious top adds softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s mattresses, the Saatva Classic is delivered by movers, rather than in a box.
Considerations: Best Mattress For Compression Fracture
Individuals who are easily woken up when their partner stirs may discover the Saatva transfers more motion than ideal People who like the hug of memory foam might not feel the Saatva conforms carefully sufficient The Saatva’s comfort system uses thinner layers of foam than numerous hybrid models. Rather, it uses an additional layer of springs within the

While all of the Saatva firmness alternatives have pressure-relieving capacity, the quantity of pressure relief that an individual experiences on the mattress will differ based partially on their weight and sleep position. Individuals who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most press relief on the Plush Soft version of the bed mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the best balance of contouring and support from the Company variation.
Keep in mind: Saatva recently updated the Zenhaven, changing the kind of latex used in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now includes Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; find out more about the differences below. We prepare to test the new variation soon and will upgrade this guide with our impressions.
The Zenhaven is also flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Company side feels a bit firmer), which may prove valuable if you’re not sure what you choose or if your requirements alter over time. This is not a conventionally soft mattress, but it provides a supple cushion, great edge assistance, and a subtle springiness.
For this evaluation, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven bed mattress for several weeks in my own house. These mattresses were also examined in our group tests performed for Wirecutter’s guides to the finest foam mattresses and the best innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel writer for sleep, I’ve talked to scores of professionals in the bed mattress industry and in materials science; gone to dozens of mattress stores, factories, and showrooms; and pored over the fine print on requirements, guarantees, and return policies. Most recently, supervising editor Courtney Schley examined the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her home for numerous weeks.

We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environmentally friendly” brands. However we do understand that the business uses thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to fiberglass or chemicals) and just organic cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress business, Saatva touts such bonus as zoned layers for “optimal spine support”; we’re less pleased with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer service and durable foams and coils.
