Assistant Professor of English at Fayetteville State University.Maria Orban has received her Ph.D. at the University of Oklahoma . Her research interests include 20^th century American literature, Native American fiction, multicultural literature, and critical theory. She has written on Native American novelists such as Louise Erdrich and Gerald Vizenor in the European Review of Native American Studies, American Indian Culture and Research Journal, and World Literature Today.
